Our Mission

The mission of the Essex Fells Recreation Foundation is to enrich the lives of the residents of Essex Fells by supporting the Borough's Recreation Department in providing safe, welcoming open spaces and recreation facilities for people of all ages to play, think, build community, and become stewards of our environment.

We seek to provide excellent value and quality in the programs we support, and to help enable the Borough to offer these programs in safe, attractive, and well-maintained facilities that reflect the unique character of our town.

How we Serve the Town

The Recreation Foundation serves the residents of Essex Fells in three ways:

1. Representing the voice of the community by serving as an advisory body to the Recreation Department and the Town Council of the Borough of Essex Fells.
2. Improving the Borough's recreation infrastructure through targeted initiatives that raise funds to improve our residents' experience - especially for the children of our town.
3. Planning and participating in events around town that are aligned with the achievement of our mission.
